Dining at The Greenroom Cafe as a celebration for the end of 'O' level. Vivien suggested it when watching HDB Tai Tai.
(recommended by Her World) Best for... feeling virtuous Where: The greenroom café (Bishan Park II, 1382 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1, tel: 6456-6556) What: Part of Aramsa – The Garden Spa in Bishan Park, the greenroom café serves wholesome meals (using organic ingredients whenever possible). There were no meat items on its still-evolving menu during our last visit but there were still some innovative creations such as the fuschia-coloured dragonfruit and pineapple juice ($6.80), sandwiches with tamari tempeh and tofu ($10.80), and baked brown rice with shiitake and button mushrooms ($9.80). You should expect to find similar restaurant standards (it’s a spa café mind you). The avocado and orange salad was quite bland, despite the generous ingredients. But for a nature haven in the middle of the heartlands, this is one of the best deals. Extra points for: The organic food market that’s inthe pipeline.
