Do you call someone who behaves like this your true friend?

She

• keeps bragging about how many jobs had approached her even before graduation
  
• will be teaching tuition for $160/month
• keeps talking big like how much her 'tutee' improved
  
• keeps showing off money matters
• forever wants to win you (example: you talk about some nice food you had, then she will ignore you and talk about her experience with food)
• always interrupting your speech
  
• boasting that she's gonna be an entrepreneur
• didn't even wish me on my birthday
• is very insensitive about others feelings
• always leaving me out of outing plans (please don't use distance as an excuse)
• always late in handing in her FYP tasks (regretted unfair for peer evaluation)
• full of excuses (sick... very sick... my head very pain... no time... help my ah yi work... came home very late...)

• boast
• blow her own trumpet
• talk big
• swagger
  

She keeps talking about wanting me to be her bridesmaid, telling me not to forget her after graduation. Is she truthful about all these? I don't think so. Do I want such a friend? I've reconsidered this friendship and it's definitely one I will not treasure. I have been reflecting today. Could it be we had aged, experienced and we ain't those naive girls with no hidden agenda and stuff ? I wonder how much worst it could be in the working environment.

Well, I guess my friend was right. It is difficult to find true friends in poly. Partly because RP makes a change class every semester. Anyway, it's only 7 schooling weeks. She remains as a friend but I wouldn't treat her as nice as before. She will only be a lunch time company.

I really am thankful to have some friends. You know who you are ;)
